Valens is looking for a full-time Go-To-Market Project Manager to support its product launches and projects.  In this role, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring and executing go-to-market initiatives, be this for new customer acquisition, product or feature launch.

You will work with project stakeholders across departments (both internal and external) and channels to determine and clearly outline the marketing, communications, and plan for ongoing Valens product launches. You will ensure that all tasks on a project are delivered within the set timelines and in coordination with other projects, ensuring that stakeholders are kept informed on status, key decisions and final outcomes.

Go-To-Market Project Manager Responsibilities

Marketing project ownership

  • Review, develop and manage the go-to-market strategy around new customer acquisitions, product and feature launches in line with Valens’ broader strategy (including concept, development, positioning, financials and go-to-market plans)
  • Develop a guide for Valens product commercialization that considers resources and tools to aid future acquisitions (e.g. brand guidelines, marketing process guides, SOPs, FAQs)
  • Support initiatives to build product insights as Valens expands its product portfolio in new regions

Project management

  • Plan and build out detailed production timelines to deliver each project efficiently and to meet a required deadline.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects that vary in size, scope and complexity
  • Ongoing project monitoring, leading planning meetings and communications with the relevant stakeholders (Business Development, Marketing, Operations, R&D, internal/external departmental leads) to ensure each project is on track and prioritized appropriately
  • Ensure project tracking documents are up to date with clear descriptions, briefs, timelines, due dates and any other information as required
  • Conduct project post-mortems in coordination with other project stakeholders and document key learnings to ensure processes and outputs are improved with each project
  • Be proactive and identify problems that may arise within projects and propose solutions
  • Coordinate and be the main point of contact with external customers, suppliers, and stakeholders per project to ensure on-time and effective delivery

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree an asset
  • Min 5 years’ experience in Project Management in marketing or product development (from concept to positioning to launch plans)
  • Experience with a project management methodology and managing complex projects involving multiple resources and channels
  • Proficient financial acumen to create viable business cases, including P&L analysis, forecasting, category analysis
  • Takes initiative and prioritizes tasks; able to track tasks, flag issues, and collaborate to problem-solve
  • Flexible in responding to changes in business priorities; proven ability to work effectively and efficiently under multiple, competing deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Proven ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Familiarity with Health Canada Regulations and or Good Manufacturing Principles an asset
